OwlOn April 4th, Grant School had some very special guests visit our school. A representative from the Barn Hill Preserve, along with six of her scaly, feathery and prickly animal friends came to spend the day with us. Students had the opportunity to meet and learn about several animal ambassadors which included a bearded dragon, black-tongued skink, armadillo, porcupine, tortoise, and owl.  Each grade level participated in a 40 min session learning fun and interesting facts about each animal such as where they can be found in the world, what they eat and how they interact with other animals.  The representative who presented was extremely knowledgeable and did an excellent job of answering all questions the students had.  Not only did the students get a chance to see the animals from afar, they were able to purchase pictures with the animals. We can’t wait for them to visit again!
