Grant Playground Upgrades

Over the summer, Grant School’s playground got spruced up! Various interactive designs were installed both in the back playground as well as the path leading up to the kindergarten entrances. Near the kindergarten doors we have the alphabet and numbers for our young learners to practice with. On the back playground students have been enjoying using the lines on the basketball courts to play a half court game. Also, a sensory path was installed around the court for students to practice their gross motor skills. There are two four square courts, three different hopscotch courts, a twister board, a world map and an area to play the game Mirror Me. In the middle of the playground we have a conflict resolution circle which provides students who are experiencing conflict with strategies to help resolve any challenges. Overall the students have been enjoying our new designs during outdoor recess time.
