Grant Spring Concert Wows

On May 21st, students in 1st through 6th grades participated in the annual spring concert at Grant School. The first, second and third graders performed various songs about summer and spring. This included the songs I Want to Go Outside, If You’re Happy Summer’s Comin’ and The Green Grass Grew All Around. Also, this year the third grade students have been learning the recorder. They performed three songs that displayed their hard work and dedication to learning this new instrument. In the evening the students in grades 4, 5, and 6 returned to school to showcase their musical talents. Students in the band worked hard on learning several selections to perform and did a fantastic job. The chorus students performed six songs for the crowd. The audience enjoyed and sang along to familiar songs such as Dancing in the Streets, Route 66 and Rockin’ Robin. A special thank you to Ms. Mir for putting this wonderful program together!
